Malick Badjie appointed Global Head of Sales & Marketing and member of Executive Committee of Robeco
Rotterdam 8 December 2023 - Robeco announces today that Malick Badjie has been appointed Global Head of Sales & Marketing and member of the Executive Committee of Robeco. He has been serving in the role on an ad interim basis. As Global Head of Sales & Marketing, Malick is responsible for Robeco’s sales strategy and organization, sales teams in 15 countries, consultant relations, and global marketing. He succeeds Alexander Preininger who has been on leave due to personal circumstances and has now decided to leave the company.
The appointment has been approved by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) and is supported by the Central Works Council of Robeco.
Malick Badjie joined Robeco in 2017 and now serves as Head of Institutional Sales Europe, North America, and Africa. Malick has over 20 years of experience working in the asset management industry in both sales and investments. Previously he was a partner at Silk Invest and from 2003 to 2013 he worked at Blackrock, where he held several senior positions. Malick holds an MBA from the University of Warwick Business School and a Bachelor’s (Hons) in Political Science and International Business from Tennessee State University.
