Robeco publishes 2022 Sustainability Report
Rotterdam, 25 April 2023 – Robeco has published its 2022 Sustainability Report. This is a detailed write-up and assessment on how Robeco integrates sustainability into its business, how it serves clients with sustainable investment solutions and the way in which it performs its active ownership activities.
The sustainability report also outlines the materiality analysis we conducted in 2022 to determine which issues are most significant for our company, both from an investment and own operations perspective, applying the concept of “double materiality” and considering both impact and financial materiality. One of the highlights in 2022 was the launch of Robeco's Sustainable Investing (SI) Open Access Initiative through which we opened our SDG data to a community of academics and clients, as a first step. Furthermore, we partnered with World Wildlife Fund on biodiversity, an important topic in our investment processes and stewardship activities.
Sustainable investing continues to be a key building block in Robeco's 2021-2025 strategy. In 2022, Robeco's assets under management (AuM) totaled EUR 171 billion with EUR 350 billion under engagement.

Karin van Baardwijk, CEO Robeco: “At Robeco, we want to foster integrated thinking throughout our organization. This means that at all levels of our company, decisions must be made that not only take standard financial and operational considerations into account, but also environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors. The Sustainability Report covers both aspects. I hope our stakeholders enjoy reading this report and find it enlightening and informative. But I also hope they will share their views with us and challenge the steps we are taking, as this is the only way we can improve every day and make a difference.'
