Die Aktienauswahl basiert auf der Analyse von Fundamentaldaten. Ziel des Fonds ist es, eine bessere Rendite zu erzielen als der Index. Der Fonds ermittelt attraktive makroökonomische Themen und wählt fundamental gesunde Unternehmen. Das Chinese Equities-Investmentteam besteht aus fünf Anlageexperten, die über durchschnittlich 10 Jahre Erfahrung, einander ergänzende Fähigkeiten und einen weltweiten Investmenthintergrund verfügen. Die Portfoliomanager im Team ordnen lokale Einblicke in einen umfassenderen regionalen und globalen Kontext ein. Die lokale Präsenz in Hongkong und Shanghai ermöglicht eine optimale Abdeckung der Off- und Onshore-Märkte gleichermaßen. Jie Lu ist Head of Investments in China. Er ist für die gesamten Anlagen und Forschungsaktivitäten in China zuständig. Vor seinem Wechsel zu Robeco im November 2015 arbeitete Jie Lu als Portfoliomanager bei Norges Bank Investment Management in Shanghai (2011-2015) sowie als Analyst in Hongkong (2009-2011). Davor war er im Bereich Mergers & Acquisitions von Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd tätig. Jie Lu begann seine berufliche Laufbahn im Jahr 2000 als Ingenieur bei Motorola Inc. und hatte anschließend diverse Manager-Positionen inne. Jie Lu ist chinesischer Muttersprachler (Mandarin). Er verfügt über einen Titel als MBA (mit Auszeichnung) in Finance & Marketing der Kellogg School an der Northwestern University (USA). Er hat außerdem einen Master-Titel in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science der University of Illinois (USA) sowie einen Bachelor-Titel in Biochemie der Fudan-Universität (China).

Steuerliche Behandlung des Produkts
Der Fonds ist in Luxemburg aufgelegt und unterliegt den Steuergesetzen und Bestimmungen in Luxemburg. Für den Fonds fällt in Luxemburg weder Körperschaftssteuer noch Gewerbesteuer an, auch die Kapitalerträge und Dividenden werden nicht besteuert. Der Fonds hat in Luxemburg eine jährliche Abonnementssteuer ('taxe d'abonnement') in Höhe von 0,05 Prozent des Nettoinventarwerts des Fonds zu zahlen. Diese Steuer wird bei der Bestimmung des Nettoinventarwerts des Fonds berücksichtigt. Grundsätzlich kann der Fonds die Luxemburger Verträge nutzen, um Quellensteuer auf seine Erträge zurückzufordern.
Steuerliche Behandlung des Anlegers
Die steuerlichen Folgen einer Kapitalanlage in diesem Fonds hängen von der persönlichen Situation des Anlegers ab. Bei in den Niederlanden wohnhaften Privatanlegern sind reale Zins- und Dividendenerträge oder Veräußerungsgewinne aus Kapitalanlagen nicht steuerbar. Anleger zahlen jährlich Einkommenssteuer auf den Wert ihres Nettovermögens zum 1. Januar, sofern und insoweit dieses Nettovermögen den Steuerfreibetrag des Anlegers übersteigt. Jeder in den Fonds investierte Betrag ist Teil des Nettovermögens eines Anlegers. Privatanleger mit Wohnsitz außerhalb der Niederlande müssen in den Niederlanden keine Steuern auf ihre Kapitalanlagen in dem Fonds bezahlen. Diese Anleger werden aber möglicherweise in ihrem Wohnsitzland für Erträge aus einer Kapitalanlage in diesem Fonds auf der Grundlage des dort anwendbaren nationalen Steuerrechts zur Steuer herangezogen. Für juristische Personen oder professionelle Anleger gelten andere steuerliche Vorschriften. Der Robeco Chinese Equities ist ein aktiv verwalteter Fonds, der in börsennotierte Aktien von führenden chinesischen Unternehmen investiert. Die Aktienauswahl basiert auf der Analyse von Fundamentaldaten. Ziel des Fonds ist es, eine bessere Rendite zu erzielen als der Index. Der Fonds ermittelt attraktive makroökonomische Themen und wählt fundamental gesunde Unternehmen. Es werden ausländische (in Hongkong und in den USA notierte) und, in begrenztem Umfang, inländische chinesische Aktien ausgewählt. Der Fonds fördert E&S-Merkmale (Umwelt und Soziales) im Sinne von Artikel 8 der europäischen Verordnung über nachhaltigkeitsbezogene Offenlegungspflichten im Finanzdienstleistungssektor, integriert Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken in den Investmentprozess und wendet die Good Governance Policy von Robeco an. Der Fonds wendet nachhaltigkeitsorientierte Indikatoren an, wozu insbesondere normative, auf Aktivitäten oder auf Regionen basierende Ausschlüsse, die Wahrnehmung von Stimmrechten und Engagement gehören. Der Teilfonds wird aktiv verwaltet. Die für das Anlageuniversum des Teilfonds ausgewählten Wertpapiere können Bestandteile der Benchmark sein, es können aber auch nicht in der Benchmark enthaltene Wertpapiere ausgewählt werden. Die Anlagepolitik wird nicht durch eine Benchmark eingeschränkt, der Teilfonds verwendet jedoch eine Benchmark zu Vergleichszwecken. Der Portfoliomanager kann weiterhin über die Zusammensetzung des Portfolios in Abhängigkeit der Anlageziele entscheiden. Der Teilfonds kann erheblich von den Emittenten-, Länder- und Sektorgewichtungen der Benchmark abweichen. Es gibt keine Beschränkung für die Abweichung von der Benchmark. Die Benchmark ist ein breiter marktgewichteter Benchmark, der nicht mit den vom Teilfonds geförderten ökologischen, sozialen und Governance-Merkmalen übereinstimmt.
Das Risikomanagement ist vollständig in den Investmentprozess integriert um sicherzustellen, dass die Positionen stets den vorab definierten Richtlinien entsprechen.

Nachhaltigkeit
Der Fonds bindet Nachhaltigkeit durch Ausschlüsse, ESG-Integration, Engagement und Stimmrechtsausübung in den Investmentprozess ein. Der Fonds investiert nicht in Emittenten, die gegen internationale Normen verstoßen oder deren Aktivitäten laut Ausschlusspolitik von Robeco als gesellschaftlich schädlich eingestuft wurden. In die Bottom-up-Anlageanalyse werden finanziell bedeutende ESG-Faktoren einbezogen, um vorhandene und potenzielle ESG-Risiken und -Chancen zu beurteilen. Bei der Aktienauswahl schränkt der Fonds seine Positionen mit erhöhten Nachhaltigkeitsrisiken ein. Außerdem wird, wenn ein Aktienemittent in der laufenden Überwachung für Verstöße gegen internationale Normen ausgesondert wird, mit dem Emittenten ein aktiver Aktionärsdialog aufgenommen. Und schließlich nutzt der Fonds Aktionärsrechte und nimmt in Übereinstimmung mit der Abstimmungspolitik von Robeco Stimmrechte wahr.In den folgenden Abschnitten werden die für diesen Fonds ESG-Kennzahlen mit kurzen Beschreibungen aufgeführt. Marktentwicklungen
Im August waren mehrere bemerkenswerte politische Entwicklungen zu beobachten. Im Fiskalbereich nahm die Emission von Sonderanleihen lokaler Gebietskörperschaften zu, was darauf hindeutet, dass die Regierung die Verwendung dieser Mittel zur Unterstützung von Konsuminitiativen wie der Inzahlungnahme und Abbau von Wohnungsbeständen ausweiten könnte. Darüber hinaus scheint der Abwertungsdruck auf den CNY nachgelassen zu haben. Dies könnte eine weitere Leitzinssenkung ermöglichen. Wir rechnen mit einer Senkung um 10 Bp. in Q4 und einer weiteren in Q1 2025. Sollte sich der Bericht von Bloomberg über die Refinanzierung von Hypotheken bestätigen, könnte sich dies positiv auf den Konsum auswirken. Darüber hinaus lassen die jüngsten politischen Fördermaßnahmen für den Dienstleistungskonsum sowie die positive Medienberichterstattung über das neue chinesische Spiel „Black Myth: Wukong“ auf einen ausgewogenen Ansatz zur Förderung von Konsum und Dienstleistungen schließen.

Wir sehen den chinesischen Markt positiv, allerdings mit Vorsicht, angesichts der jüngsten Ankündigungen des Dritten Plenums Chinas bezüglich des BIP-Wachstumsziels von rund 5 % für 2024, zusammen mit der anhaltenden Verlangsamung des Immobilienmarktes und zunehmenden geopolitischen Bedenken. Die Gewinnrevisionen blieben der schleppenden und uneinheitlichen makroökonomischen Erholung entsprechend bescheiden, vor allem aufgrund der Probleme auf dem Immobilienmarkt. In einigen Sektoren sind jedoch erste Anzeichen einer Stabilisierung zu erkennen. Auf der Juli-Sitzung des Politbüros wurde wegen der starken Konjunkturabkühlung im Q2 ein entgegenkommenderer Ton angeschlagen. Während die Immobilienpolitik inkrementell und reaktiv sein wird, muss die fiskalische Expansion in H2 2024 der Hauptantrieb sein, weil die politischen Entscheider sich verpflichtet haben, die politische Lockerung fortzusetzen, um das Wachstumsziel für das gesamte Jahr zu erreichen. Im Allgemeinen dürfte ein empfindliches Gleichgewicht zwischen ausreichenden Hilfen zur Stabilisierung des Wachstums und der Vermeidung übermäßiger Anreize, die Ungleichgewichte verstärken könnten, angestrebt werden. Es wird erwartet, dass die erwartete Zinssenkung der Fed mehr Spielraum für eine Lockerung bieten wird.
