Candidate profile
The SI Thought Leadership team drives research, analytics, and strategy on Robeco’s Sustainable Investing (SI) priority areas, such as climate change, biodiversity, social rights, sustainable development goals and SI data. Interns support our work though focused projects that typically take 4 to 6 months. These projects aim to further develop Robeco’s SI strategy and IP, giving you an opportunity to interact with, and learn from, colleagues across Robeco’s teams.
Main areas of responsibilities
The intern will support the Thought Leadership team in enhancing our forward-looking climate traffic light which is being used in our investment strategies. The project aims to improve our analytical model of decarbonization pathways in heterogeneous industry sectors. The project includes:
Desk research to obtain data and benchmarks from sources such as International Energy Agency
Conduct sector reviews to identify peer groups of companies
Development of sector decarbonization benchmarks for defined sub-industries and peer groups
Pilot test the model in portfolios and gather feedback from investment teams
You will report to a senior researcher and collaborate with colleagues across Robeco’s SI Centre of Expertise and investment teams to bring the model to usage.
What we’re looking for
Current master students that have a strong academic background in fields like finance, (business) economics, or environmental sciences.
Skills in data analytics, quantitative research methods, attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Availability to work full time in Rotterdam for a period of 4-6 months. Starting date: March 2025
All the internship vacancies at Robeco in Rotterdam are open to students enrolled at a university during the entire duration of their internship. Our interns must also be eligible for a residence permit to do an internship in the Netherlands. This means we can recruit EU citizens studying at a global university or non-EU citizens studying at a Dutch university.
